Alfalfa, also called Lucerne. When sprouted it is one of the most nutritious foods known. It contains chlorophyll, and is an excellent source of vitamins A, D, E and K.
Alfalfa also has high concentrations of calcium, magnesium, iron, phosphorous and potassium is high in protein and has eight essential enzymes.
Alfalfa sprouts also have high levels of saponins, which lower the bad cholesterol but not the good HDL fats.
