Ingredients

popping corn
oil
salt or icing sugar

Method

Heat enough oil in a pan to cover pan bottom. Place four popping corn kernels in the pan and cover. When all four kernels pop, remove - the oil is now hot enough.

Pour in enough popcorn to cover the bottom of the pan evenly. Cover, the popcorn should start popping fairly briskly. The popcorn will continue to pop briskly for a few minutes, then slow down.

When popping ceases, empty into bowl, season with salt or icing sugar to taste.
